Here's What We Know About Miranda Lambert And Blake Shelton's Country Wedding

As People reported at the time, star couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton tied the knot on May 14, 2011, at the Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas, with famous guests in attendance, including actor Katherine Heigl, country icon Reba McEntire, and pop star and talk show host Kelly Clarkson. Everybody partied into the wee hours while the venison offered for dinner was harvested by Lambert herself. According to Green Wedding Shoes, the Lambert-Shelton nuptials were a proper down-home country celebration described as, "a fun rock 'n' roll wonderland wedding ...with a splash of hillbilly." The country superstars reportedly wanted the wedding to reflect their tastes, so it was suitably laidback and kitschy. Lambert donned her mother's wedding dress for the ceremony, followed by a chic frock from Vineyard by Priscilla of Boston for the reception — complete with cowboy boots, of course.

Their dog-friendly venue meant the couple could easily include their pooches in the festivities, too, while Lambert walked down the aisle to "Makin' Plans," a song she wrote for Shelton, as sung by fellow country star and bridesmaid Ashley Monroe. Lambert admitted she tried not to cry but ultimately failed. "When I got close I didn't think of anyone else. It was just me and Blake," the singer-songwriter gushed. Roy Rogers' "Happy Trails" soundtracked their first romantic moments as husband and wife. Shelton later performed a song he wrote especially for the occasion, sweetly entitled "Let's Grow Old Together." By all accounts, it was magical.
