During his time at St. Andrews, Prince William met his future wife, Catherine Middleton, now Princess of Wales. The Prince and Catherine first struck up a friendship in 2001 while they were both residents of the residence building St Salvator's Hall (via Hello! Magazine). According to some reports, it was this friendship that eventually led to the romantic attraction.
