"For personal reasons, I'm unable to continue on 'American Idol.' This has been one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but I know it's necessary. When Anderson auditioned, the judges were stunned by her beautiful and mature voice. She shared that music was always something that helped her (via Parade). "Music really is my therapy. Whenever I'm frustrated, whenever I'm feeling down, music is the one thing that has stuck with me, no matter what," she explained on the show. "I'm happy where I am now, and I'm thankful for all the experiences that led me to this point. I feel that there's no better time in my life right now to audition for 'American Idol.'"
