Sydney Sweeney shot into mainstream media in 2018, after her first big role as Emaline in the Netflix series, "Everything Sucks!"
The show is based around a high school in Oregon during the '90s, where a group of kids in the A/V department make a film with a group of kids in the drama club. She plays acting student, Emaline Addario, who questions her sexuality throughout (via IMDb).
The show was short-lived, however, and only lasted one season due to low viewer count and controversy. Sweeney's character is supposed to be 16, and the person she kisses, Peyton Kennedy's character Kate, is 14. Though in real life, Sweeney was 20 and Kennedy was 14. So, you can assume that people were pretty outraged, (via Girlfriend). However, she soon got roles in "Euphoria," "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," and "Sharp Objects," (via IMDB).
